Volunteer Opportunities

METCreative Arts Ministry
Singers, Musicians, Production Crew, Videographers.  If you have been gifted in the area of creativity and would like to serve at The MET, please email
Children's Ministry Check-In Team
Needed:  4 to 6 volunteers for our Check-In Team on Sunday mornings.  Check-In Team members make people feel welcomed to our church and our children feel special.  System training is provided.  Team members are scheduled on a rotation, unless they are willing to serve weekly.  Check-In Team members are needed for 9:00 and 11:00 am services, shifts begin 25 to 30 minutes before the services start.  If you are able to serve in this way, please email

Do you have a love for the Lord and desire to impact children for the Kingdom? METTykes (the preschool ministry) is searching for more classroom helpers on Sunday morning, especially during the 11:00 am worship service.  No experience required; first time volunteers welcome, especially those who are French speaking.

Do you have a musical gifting and a love for children?  We are looking for worship leaders and musicians to serve within the Sunday School ministry during the 9:00 am service.  Music not your thing?  We are also seeking a few more Sunday School teachers and Assistant teachers.  There are lots of places for you to serve the next generation.

Help welcome and care for our Guests and Attendees:

Welcome Team

Welcome Blanket
Outside our church entrance is a special opportunity to open doors, hold welcome signs, and greet people with a smile before they step inside. We answer simple questions, help carry a bag, or if we’re really lucky, have a special conversation. In short, we’re just lovingly welcoming people to church in Jesus’ name.  This opportunity is for anyone: individuals, couples, families or groups.

Greeter Ministry
We are looking for a few more volunteers to help with greeting those who attend on Sunday mornings.  Greeters arrive early, they are friendly, they smile and say "good morning".  Could this be a job for you to do once a month?

“The Hub” is a friendly place for newcomers to meet and get to know MET folks for a welcome gift, some coffee or tea and a time to chat. Hub hosts are ready after each morning service to help newcomers navigate the sometimes challenging transition into The MET family.

Usher Ministry
This is another arm of the welcoming ministry which operates before and during the services.  Ushers arrive early to welcome attendees into the sanctuary, assisting with seating, collection of the offering and are available during the service is needs arise.  Ushers generally serve two Sundays per month.

Security Team
Looking for those who are willing to fill this very important role, maintaining a presence around the church while monitoring the building, especially the Sunday School wing.  Training for this role will be provided.  The Security Team also works on a monthly rotation and serves before, during and after the service.

First Aid Team
Looking for individuals with current First Aid and CPR certification who are willing to be on call on Sunday mornings during our services, in the event of a medical emergency.  If you have skills in this area, please consider joining the monthly rotation for this essential service.

Library Team
Looking for a place to serve? The library is looking for volunteers to help with shelving and working behind the desk on Sunday mornings.

Metro Cafe Volunteers

M.O.S.T. Volunteers

They are in need of people to help prepare the food at The MET, as well as people to offer fellowship at the program each Tuesday evening at the Bronson Centre.
